Community Benefit Fund
As part of the development, a Community Benefit Fund has been established. In 2017, £30,000 will be made available for local community causes.
Members of the community can bid for support from the Benefit Fund by completing an application form and submitting it to a panel for consideration.
The Community Benefit Fund is not administered by Peel Environmental. Decisions are made by a Benefit Fund Panel, made up of four voting members from the Community Forum. Once the panel has made a decision, members of the Community Forum then have to approve allocation of funds.
Who can apply?
For the first two years the Benefit Fund will be eligible to organisations and causes in the parishes of Ince and Elton. From November 2017, organisations from Helsby, Frodsham and Little Stanney will also be able to bid for funding.
Transport; community buildings; sport; youth; and heritage will be among the wide range of causes considered. To download a detailed list of the types of projects that will be eligible, see the ‘Useful Documents’ section at the bottom of this page.
